Styling block parts

Some blocks in uiPress are complex and have a lot of different elements within them that you may want to style.

Any block with multiple parts can be style by each part and to do this you can use the block part switcher. If you open a block’s styles options that has more than one block part you will see a dropdown menu at the top of the styles panel called block part.

In the above example, we have clicked on the admin menu block. Say we wanted to apply styles to the submenu area only then we can select the submenu block part. Now when we make edits, the styles we add will target the submenu.

To go back to editing styles for the root of the block, you click the state switch again and select the root option.
