Split-Panel Design

The interface uses a two-panel layout:

• Left sidebar: Lists all your notices with search and filters
• Right panel: Rich text editor for creating and editing notices
• Responsive: Adapts to mobile devices with a drawer interface

Navigation

• Bookmarkable links to specific notices
• Browser history support
• Direct URL access to notices

Notices List

List Display

Each notice in the list shows:

• Status indicator (green for published, orange for draft)
• Notice title
• Status (Published/Draft)
• Last modified date
• "Seen by" count

Search

Search notices by:

• Title
• Status
• Notice ID

Results update as you type, making it easy to find specific notices.

Pagination

• 15 notices per page
• Navigation buttons (First, Previous, Next, Last)
• Page counter showing current page and total pages

Notice Editor

Header

• Large notice title display
• Status badge (Active/Draft)
• Action buttons (Update, Delete)
• Created and modified dates

Content Area

Rich Text Editor:

• Full formatting toolbar
• Bold, italic, underline
• Lists (ordered and unordered)
• Links and headings
• Text alignment
• Blockquotes and code blocks

Live Preview:

• See how your notice will look
• Styled according to notice type
• Shows dismissible button if enabled
• Updates in real-time

Settings Sidebar

Display Settings:

• Notice Type: Choose Info, Success, Warning, or Error
• Target Roles: Select specific user roles (or leave empty for all users)
• Dismissible: Toggle to allow users to dismiss the notice
• Active: Toggle to publish or unpublish the notice

Dismissed By Section:

• View users who have dismissed the notice
• Shows user avatars, names, and email addresses
• Empty state when no users have dismissed

Notice Types

Info (Blue)

Use for general information, announcements, updates, and tips.

Success (Green)

Use for success messages, confirmations, completed actions, and positive feedback.

Warning (Orange)

Use for warnings, important alerts, and messages requiring attention.

Error (Red)

Use for error messages, critical alerts, and failed actions.

Role Targeting

Select specific user roles to control who sees your notice:

• Administrator
• Editor
• Author
• Contributor
• Subscriber
• Custom roles (if available)

Leave the selection empty to show the notice to all users.

Dismissal Tracking

When a notice is dismissible:

• Users can click a close button to dismiss it
• The system tracks which users have dismissed each notice
• Dismissed notices remain hidden for those users
• You can view the list of users who dismissed each notice

Status Management

Published (Active)

• Green badge indicator
• Visible to target users
• Shown in WordPress admin area

Draft (Inactive)

• Gray badge indicator
• Hidden from users
• Can still be edited

Toggle the "Active" switch to instantly publish or unpublish notices.

Batch Operations

Select multiple notices using checkboxes to:

• Delete selected notices
• Change status in bulk
• Export selected notices

Responsive Design

The interface adapts to different screen sizes:

• Desktop: Full split-panel layout
• Tablet: Optimized layout with touch-friendly controls
• Mobile: Drawer interface for the editor

Dark Mode

Full dark mode support with:

• Automatic theme detection
• Manual toggle option
• Consistent styling across all notice types
• High contrast for readability
